This was a solid book at the perfect time for me. I have been in and out of the deep learning phase at both of the companies at the core of the story: Google and Facebook, but I never knew how these companies got there. The stories of Hinton, Bengio and Lecun are written with quirk and excitement. As a researcher, I feel like I have a better ability at zooming out and seeing how deep reinforcement learning is becoming the cherry on top of the deep learning decade.

Fun note: keep track of how many of the people mentioned in this book you have met. I'm at 2, but growing!
